    Vanuatu in CoSP10 Conference

    Vanuatu has joined the Pacific delegation that is attending the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (CoSP10) in Atlanta from December 11-15, 2023.

    The Authorised Person (AP) Program has greatly impacted the lives of people in some villages on Santo Island. The Ministry of Justice and Community Services owns the program, which has been piloted since 2018 as part of the Vanuatu-Australia Policing and Justice Program (VAPJP).

    Chief Ravun Elected New Malvatumauri President

    A son of the Smol Nambas tribe in southeastern inland Malekula Island was elected this week as the new president of the Malvatumauri Council of Chiefs. He is Chief Paul Robert Ravun from the village of Melken and was elected unopposed by consensus.
